Will of William Thorpe of the Parish of St.George, dated 30 Dec.1831 and entered 7 April 1834 .
To his son Samuel Thorpe the sum of 100 Pounds when he becomes 21. To his son William Henry Thorpe the sum of 100 Pounds when he becomes 21. To his wife Martha Ann he gave a parcel of land in St.George containing 5 acres and one rood with the buildings thereon, and also a man slave named George. At her death the estate was to be divided between his two sons Samuel Thorpe and William Henry Thorpe and their heirs. His wife Martha Ann was to be executrix of the will and his friends Henry Woodroffe, and Thomas McIntosh Branch, executors.
The witnesses were: John P Weekes, Edward B Burkhead, John B Cleaver.
